Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Premier Appliance Repair Staten Island LLC ("Premier", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you contact us, book a service visit, or use our website at appliancerepairsi.com. We are a one-person, mobile appliance repair business based on Staten Island, New York. NYC DCWP License #2134762.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the information needed to provide an appliance repair service and to confirm your visit. Specifically:
- Contact details: name, phone number, optional email.
- Service address: the Staten Island address where the appliance is located.
- Appliance details: brand, model number (if known), and a short description of the problem.
- Booking metadata: the date and time slot you select, plus any notes you add to the booking form.
- Communications: SMS, email, and phone-call records related to your service request.
- Website analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregated visitor behavior (pages viewed, device type, referrer, approximate location at city level). Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. See Section 4 for cookie details.
- Advertising attribution: we use Google Local Services Ads to acquire new customers. When you arrive at our website from a Google ad, Google may set cookies to attribute the visit and measure ad performance.
We do not collect payment card numbers through the website. Payment is collected on-site after the repair is verified, by cash, credit card, Zelle, or Apple Pay.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To confirm your booking, dispatch the technician, and arrive on time.
- To call or text you with updates about the appointment.
- To prepare a written quote and complete the repair on-site.
- To honor the 90-day parts and labor warranty (we keep a record of the repair so we can return at no charge if the same fault recurs).
- To respond to questions, follow up after a visit, or invite you to leave an honest Google review.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with marketers.
3. Third-Party Services
A small number of trusted third-party services help us run the business. Each receives only the data needed for the specific function:
- Calendly — handles online booking. Calendly receives your name, phone, email, address, and selected time. Calendly's privacy policy.
- Google Maps — embeds a map of our service area. Google may set cookies through the map iframe; please see Google's privacy policy.
- Google Business Profile / Reviews — public reviews you choose to leave are governed by Google's terms.
- Mobile carriers — when you call (929) 261-4444 or text us, your carrier processes that call/text under its own policy.
Specifically, the third-party services we use are:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures website usage anonymously. We do not link Analytics data to your phone, name, or address. Opt out: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Google Local Services Ads — Google's local-business ad program. Google may set cookies on your browser to measure ad performance and attribute leads. Opt out of personalized Google ads at Google Ads Settings.
We do not use Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other third-party advertising trackers. We do not share booking data with advertising networks. We do not sell or rent your information.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
Our own site uses minimal first-party local storage to remember non-personal UI preferences (for example, which FAQ items you've expanded).
The third-party services we use set their own cookies when their scripts or widgets load on our pages:
- Google Analytics sets cookies (typically named _ga, _gid, _gat) to measure aggregated traffic. These do not identify you personally.
- Google Maps (the embedded map of our service area) sets cookies under Google's privacy policy when it loads.
- Calendly (the online booking widget) sets cookies when you interact with the booking flow.
- Google Local Services Ads may set cookies to attribute ad performance when you arrive from a Google ad.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use the opt-out links provided in Section 3. Disabling cookies may affect website functionality (the booking widget may not load).
5. Data Retention
- Active service requests: kept while the visit is being scheduled and during the 90-day warranty window.
- Completed-job records (date, address, work performed, parts used): retained for 4 years to honor warranty claims and meet New York State recordkeeping requirements.
- Phone-call and SMS history: retained as long as your wireless carrier and our phone-system provider retain it under their own retention rules.
- Website analytics: aggregated, non-identifying data only — no individual customer profile is retained.
You can ask us to delete your record at any time after the warranty period ends — see Section 7.
6. How We Protect Your Information
In line with the New York SHIELD Act, we maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that match the size and nature of our business:
- Records are stored only on devices we control, with full-disk encryption and screen-lock.
- Customer data is never copied to public cloud storage or shared drives.
- Access to records is limited to the owner-operator (Badma).
- Old records past the retention window are deleted on a quarterly cadence.
7. Your Rights
You can ask us to:
- See what information we have about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Delete your record once the warranty period has ended (or sooner if no warranty obligation exists).
- Stop contacting you with appointment-follow-up messages.
Contact information for any of these requests is at the bottom of this page. We respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for homeowners and renters who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a parent or guardian believes we hold a child's information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data Breach Notification
If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with New York General Business Law §899-aa (the SHIELD Act notification rule), without unreasonable delay.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We do not retroactively change how older records are used; new policy terms apply only to information collected after the update.
